The 454T Alternator RPM Detector/Tack Signal Generator is for use with remote engine starters that require an RPM input, and is designed as an alternative to direct connection to vehicle tachometer or fuel injector wires.  It detects electrical spikes in the vehicles electrical system and converts them into an output that simulates a tach signal.
